Mathias is a 29-year old freelance software developer living and working in Berlin, Germany. After finishing his degree in Computer Science he worked for nearly three years as a software developer and project manager in the J2EE field, with experience in JBoss, Hibernate and Oracle. Right now he’s working on his first gig with Ruby on Rails and so far, is enjoying it.

His primary toolset includes, but is not limited to, IntelliJ IDEA, TextMate, Eclipse, Ant, JBoss, Hibernate, CruiseControl, and the Zsh. For project management tasks OmniOutliner Pro and VoodooPad are the weapons of choice.

In his spare time he likes to read, visit hardcore and punkrock shows, and spend time with his friends. If it’s possible, he also likes spending time in far-away countries like New Zealand and Australia.
